  • Students Protest- Madison Cops Arrest Apr 14, 2015

On April 14, 2015, students from East, Middleton and West High Schools in Madison, WI staged a walk out protest in support of Justice for Tony Robinson, the unarmed 19 year old Black youth shot multiple times by Madison police officer Matt Kenny. The Dane County DA has yet to decide on whether to charge Kenny, but most observers expect he will get off without punishment.

Students in Madison were not just accepting what the system offered, so with the help of the Young, Gifted and Black Coalition and Freedom, Inc., they planned a walk out of school and shut down East Washington St. in Madison for more than 3 hours.

Police Arrested 18 year old Jivonte Lee Davis and an as of yet unidentified indie media person who recorded the confrontation with police. Soon, they started arresting more. Pictures and video below.
